Mimi, sentence #2 won't work. Sentence #1 needs vĩ đại be modified ie.

    1. I have never known a more warm-hearted person than thở my mother. OR
    1. I have never known such a warm-hearted person as my mother. OR
    1. My mother is the most warm-hearted person that I know

    Hi, Dimcl.
Thank you very much. I have learned a lot from you.
Can I add "have ever known" vĩ đại your sentence?
"My mother is the most warm-hearted person I have ever known."
    Thank you.

Works perfectly, Mimi... she must be some Mom!:)

    Dimcl.
Would you mind explaining vĩ đại bu.
    "She must be some Mom!"
    Some Mom:confused:

Oops, there I go again, not thinking about how you perceive my unconscious idioms! As you know, "Mom" is the short endearment for "Mother". "Some" in this context means "great" ie:

"Look at that $100,000.00 car! That is some vehicle!"

"I see you banged your thumb with a hammer. That is some bruise!"

Many of us use that expression all the time (apparently without thinking about it!)

Oh, very interesting. I learned something new today. I'm sure that my friend won't know about this. "some"= "great".
    Thank you.
